a random happy link
While I'm among the few people who didn't care for that Discovery channel video (you know the 'I Love the World -- Boom De Ah Dah' one?), I thought the xkcd comic referencing it was neat -- however this video reenacting the xkcd version as live action video is just completely adorkable. A prime example for derivative works making the original so much more enjoyable.

Oh, thank you for that link! It really was adorkable!

I don't do random links often, but I just couldn't resist this level of geekiness.

You know I'm all about random links; you never know where they'll take you. But that was so . . . geeky and fannish and wonderful.

(Plus they made it on a Mac :)

...that was based on a Discovery channel video? Now I am so much less confused! Thank you.

Glad to help out, though I can't believe you actually hadn't seen the Discovery Channel thing. That got linked in my f-list circles for weeks, and I felt like a freak because everyone seemed to like it, and I didn't. :)

That's bizarre, because apparently it completely missed mine!

Although a lot of time I skim past and don't click on videos, because I'm browsing at work or otherwise don't want to bother with them, so if, say, it only showed up a few times on my flist where it overlapped with yours, I might have just not noticed.

I have seen it mostly in responses to "cheer me up?" posts and the like, you know virtual hugs and puppies, so if you just scrolled past the comments full of links to kittens and such rather than looking, that accounts already for a lot in your lack of exposure. But I frequently miss stuff everyone else seems to have seen already too *points to icon*, that's why I try to give the context for links.

Ahh, that would make sense. Since I'm not there to be comforted, I don't think I've ever bothered to click on a video link in one of those rather than just sending my *hugs* and going on.
