Thank you. He survived and is home now. The news isn't all good (it was indeed a tumor and thus harder to operate than a mere abscess, and it was very connected to the regular tissue so he lost quite a bit of blood), but for now he's curled up in his familiar house and has even eaten a little bit, so I hope he'll recover.
